Washington Crossing Council Welcomes New Staff Member

The Washington Crossing Council is excited to announce Vince Polakowski has joined the staff as District Executive for Tamanend District. Vince has an extensive background in the Scouting organization as a youth leader, and a recent staff member of the Patriots Path Council, headquartered in Cedar Knolls, NJ.

Vince served as a paraprofessional on the Patriots Path Council staff. He provided leadership and support to his district volunteers and staff. Vince has a passion for the Exploring program, with experience with First Responder Explorer Posts, and has worked tirelessly to grow the Scoutreach program in his service area.

Vince achieved the rank of Eagle Scout and earned his Vigil Honor in the Order of the Arrow in 2011. Vince served as an active youth member in Patriots Path Council where he also earned the Youth Leadership Award and the Venturing Silver Honor.

Vince served on camp staff at Mount Allamuchy Scout Reservation. He started as an Ecology staff member before advancing to Lifeguard, where he taught lifesaving skills, swimming technique, and ensured swimmer safety. Vince earned his NRA Instructor certification and served the last few years on staff as Shotgun Instructor.

A graduate of Stockton University, Vince has a background in criminal justice, training, leadership development, and customer service.
